Architrave (also known as door trim, door casing or a door surround) is the decorative timber moulding fitted around a door or window frame, covering the join between the frame and the wall. It comes in a wide range of profile styles and sizes, and every piece we offer is made to order in the wood of your choice, never off-the-shelf stock.

Popular profile styles include Ogee, Torus, Ovolo, Bullnose, Chamfered, Lambs Tongue, Pencil Round and plain Square architrave, in sizes from around 45mm up to 130mm and more. If you cannot see the exact profile you need, we can match it from a sample or a drawing - this is our architrave to match service.

Made to match, replica and bespoke architrave

Because every piece is made to order, we are not limited to a fixed stock range. Send a sample or a photo of your existing architrave and we will match the profile, size and wood species so new lengths blend in seamlessly with the old - ideal for extending a hallway, replacing a damaged section, or matching skirting and architrave throughout a whole property. This is especially useful for period property renovations and listed building restorations, where Victorian, Edwardian, Georgian and Arts and Crafts profiles often need to be replicated exactly to satisfy conservation requirements.

Architrave is available in a wide choice of solid woods, including oak, pine, meranti, sapele, walnut, beech and maple, so you can match timber used elsewhere in your home or choose a new species entirely. It is most often fitted around door frames and window frames, and is designed to be used together with skirting boards for a consistent look throughout a room.
