Timber cladding made to match - every board is machined to order in solid wood, so a replacement run follows your existing profile instead of forcing you to re-clad a whole elevation. Send a sample, a photo or a drawing and the section is copied.
We cover the profiles used on UK buildings: shiplap cladding, loglap, tongue and groove cladding and matchboard, featheredge and waney edge, square edge and rebated boards, shadow gap, and vertical or horizontal weatherboarding. The wood is your choice - western red cedar, Siberian larch, Douglas fir, European oak, sweet chestnut, Accoya, thermally modified ash or redwood - for exterior timber cladding or internal wood cladding.
One enquiry goes out to UK timber suppliers who machine that profile, and the quotes come back to you to compare. Solid timber only - we do not supply composite, PVC or wood effect boards.
Shiplap with its rounded rebate, loglap with a curved face, tongue and groove and matchboard cladding with a V joint or bead, featheredge and waney edge cladding, square edge boards on battens, rebated weatherboard, and mock Tudor boards in real timber rather than plastic. If your profile is not on that list it can still be reproduced: the cutters are ground to your section, so an odd Victorian or Edwardian board is no harder to match than a standard one. See also our standard timber cladding and tongue and groove sections.
For external wood cladding: western red cedar cladding, Siberian larch cladding, European larch, Douglas fir, sweet chestnut, oak cladding, Accoya cladding and thermally modified timber. For internal timber cladding and wood wall cladding: oak, ash, walnut, redwood and pine. Softwood keeps the cost down. Cedar, oak and sweet chestnut are naturally durable without treatment. Accoya and thermally modified boards move least, which matters on a fully exposed south or west elevation. Charred and pre finished boards can be quoted on request.
Most match enquiries are repairs rather than new build: a rotten run under a gable, a patched elevation on a Victorian or Edwardian house, weatherboarding on a listed building or in a conservation area where the profile has to stay exactly as it is. Because the boards are made to order, you replace only what has failed and the new work reads as original. Where the old board has already been thrown away, an internal survivor behind a downpipe or under a windowsill is usually enough to copy from.
Tell us the profile, the wood, the quantity and the lengths, and attach your photo, sample details or drawing. The enquiry is passed to UK timber suppliers and machinists who work in that profile and species, and they quote you direct, so you can compare price, lead time and finish side by side. Nothing here is held in stock, so allow machining and drying time in your programme before the scaffold goes up.
